Senior QA Automation Engineer

📋 Description

• • Own the quality story for Pave Bank’s programmable business banking platform. You will architect and maintain a modern, scalable test-automation framework from the ground up, ensuring every line of code that reaches production meets the highest standards of reliability, security, and user experience.
• • Design, build, and continuously evolve automated test suites in TypeScript with Playwright, covering web, API, and mobile (React-Native) layers. Your tests will run fast, fail loudly, and give engineers immediate, actionable feedback.
• • Embed automation into our CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions) so that every pull request is validated automatically, shrinking release cycles from days to minutes and giving the entire company confidence to ship multiple times a day.
• • Partner shoulder-to-shoulder with developers, product managers, and designers during sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and backlog grooming. You will translate acceptance criteria into precise test cases, uncover edge cases early, and champion a “quality first” mindset across squads.
• • Execute and maintain regression, integration, end-to-end, and contract tests across staging and production-like environments. You will monitor test results, triage failures, and drive root-cause analysis to prevent regressions before they reach customers.
• • Establish QA metrics (coverage, flakiness, MTTR) and dashboards that provide real-time visibility to leadership. Use data to prioritize test debt, optimize parallel execution, and continuously raise the bar for release confidence.
• • Contribute to test-environment strategy: spin up ephemeral Kubernetes namespaces, seed realistic data sets, and simulate high-load scenarios so that tests mirror real-world usage patterns.
• • Write clear, concise bug reports and test documentation that enable engineers to reproduce issues in minutes, not hours. Maintain living documentation in Notion and code so onboarding new teammates is frictionless.
• • Champion best practices—coding standards, page-object patterns, mocking strategies, and security testing—through internal tech talks, pair-programming sessions, and code reviews, leveling up the entire engineering org.
• • Influence product direction by surfacing quality insights and customer pain points discovered during exploratory testing. Your voice will shape roadmap decisions and help us deliver a banking experience that delights global businesses.
