• In this Senior QA Automation Engineer role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our sophisticated systems. Your primary responsibilities will encompass the end-to-end design, implementation, and meticulous maintenance of automated test suites. These suites will cover a broad spectrum, including backend services, embedded components, and user interface elements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across all layers of the software stack. You will be at the forefront of developing and continuously enhancing our test frameworks, custom tools, and the underlying automation infrastructure, making them more efficient, resilient, and scalable.
• A significant aspect of this role involves the seamless integration of automated tests into our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. You will play a crucial part in optimizing the overall test flow, reducing cycle times, and providing rapid feedback to the development teams. This integration is key to our agile development process and ensures that we can deliver high-quality software at an accelerated pace.
• Furthermore, this position offers a unique blend of software testing and hardware interaction. You will be actively involved with hardware test setups, which includes managing device connections, performing firmware flashing procedures, and configuring essential lab equipment. This hands-on experience with the physical environment allows for a deeper understanding of system behavior and the identification of issues that might not be apparent through software-only testing.
• Your ability to diagnose, accurately reproduce, and effectively debug issues discovered through both automated and lab-based testing will be critical. You will collaborate closely with software developers, fellow QA engineers, and other cross-functional engineering teams, fostering a culture of shared responsibility for quality. Your insights and contributions will directly lead to improved test coverage, enhanced system reliability, and significantly reduced turnaround times for issue resolution and feature validation.
• To ensure clarity and maintainability, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for our test environments, intricate setups, and established workflows. This documentation will serve as a vital resource for the team and future onboarding. While automation is a core focus, you will also perform manual edge-case testing where automation is not yet feasible or practical, demonstrating a pragmatic approach to quality assurance.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior QA Automation Engineer, with a strong track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining complex automated test suites.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#) for test automation scripting and framework development.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests into pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Experience working with embedded systems, hardware test setups, device connections, and firmware flashing.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and defect management.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to diagnose and reproduce complex issues.
