Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own end-to-end product quality OKRs in partnership with the EPD team by analyzing customer-reported failure patterns, improving test coverage, and surfacing regressions before they reach production
- • Build and maintain Playwright automation tests in TypeScript as the primary testing approach, applying production-code standards for structure, maintainability, and scalability across UI, integration, and unit layers
- • Serve as the quality gate for every release cycle by reviewing PRs for missing test coverage, collaborating with an offshore QA team on regression execution, and partnering with engineering to resolve release-blocking issues rapidly
- • Embed deeply with product teams to develop domain expertise, create comprehensive end-to-end test plans, and drive quality outcomes for new features and releases
- • Advocate for quality throughout the deployment process by raising the bar on testing practices, challenging inadequate coverage, and promoting a culture where quality is a shared product discipline, not a post-release catch-net
- • Continuously improve QA processes, tooling, and documentation by treating the test suite as a living system—refactoring, optimizing, and evolving it based on real-world feedback and team needs
- • Proactively identify edge cases beyond documented scenarios by reading PRDs, participating in bug bashes, and debugging real user failure patterns to enhance test coverage and product resilience
- • Collaborate across EPD functions to communicate test plans clearly, align stakeholders on coverage priorities, and reduce friction for product and engineering teams
- • Maintain a customer-first orientation by prioritizing test scenarios based on real user behavior and transactional workflows, not just happy-path conditions
- • Drive automation-first testing practices, leveraging Playwright as the core framework while understanding when to apply unit, contract, integration, or UI tests according to the testing pyramid
- • Manage manual testing efforts effectively during critical periods, balancing automation scalability with the need for exploratory and edge-case validation
- • Contribute to a high-velocity release cadence (four releases per week) by ensuring quality remains consistent, predictable, and safe despite rapid iteration
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven track record owning QA end-to-end in a fast-moving SaaS environment, independently developing test plans, triaging failures, and driving resolution without direction
- • Strong Playwright and TypeScript skills, writing automation tests with production-code standards for structure and maintainability
- • Automation-first mindset with working knowledge of the testing pyramid and ability to prioritize unit, integration, and UI tests appropriately
- • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across EPD functions, communicate test plans clearly, and reduce friction for product and engineering teams
- • Sharp attention to detail and customer-first orientation, debugging and reviewing test cases with real user behavior and edge cases in mind
- • Experience with financial or transactional workflows (invoices, bills, payments, or payouts) is a strong plus
🏖️ Benefits
