• • As a Senior QA Engineer at VML Insurance Services, Inc., you will step into a pivotal technical leadership role, serving as the primary authority on complex client accounts. This is a hands-on position where you will architect robust automation frameworks, tackle intricate technical challenges, and define the strategic direction for Quality Assurance within your assigned projects. You will be the go-to expert for your team when complex issues arise, leveraging your deep understanding of automation to build scalable and reliable solutions from the ground up.
• • Your responsibilities will extend to architecting, building, and continuously evolving automation frameworks that are designed for maintainability and contribution by other team members. You will be instrumental in solving the most challenging technical problems, including test architecture design, addressing flaky tests, ensuring seamless CI/CD integration, and resolving environment-related issues. Your technical vision will guide the QA efforts on your accounts, influencing decisions on tooling, methodologies, and overall team structure.
• • A key aspect of this role involves driving "shift-left" quality practices, ensuring that quality is embedded early in the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through to development. You will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies that encompass UI, functional, integration, API, accessibility, and regression testing, ensuring a high standard of quality across all facets of the product.
• • Beyond technical execution, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and elevating the skills of other QA engineers. This will be achieved through hands-on collaboration, knowledge sharing sessions, and by demonstrating best practices. You are expected to be an innovator, actively exploring and utilizing AI tools to enhance your work and to anticipate future trends in QA, such as self-healing tests and smarter automation approaches. You will not just follow existing best practices but will actively contribute to shaping them.
• • Effective communication is paramount. You will confidently articulate technical recommendations, explain trade-offs, and present solutions to both clients and internal stakeholders, influencing critical decisions at a project level. Your involvement will extend to participating in client-facing forums, including demos, triage meetings, release calls, and in-depth technical discussions, ensuring alignment and transparency.
• • You will also contribute to the broader QA community within VML, sharing your expertise and insights to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. This role requires a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset, driven by a passion for solving complex technical challenges and a commitment to delivering high-quality software. You will collaborate closely with our UK project team, requiring availability until 18:00 PL time, and the selection process will be conducted entirely in English, with CVs to be submitted in English.
