Senior QA Engineer (Adobe Commerce)

📋 Description

• • Own end-to-end quality for high-profile Adobe Commerce builds that power millions in GMV for global brands. You will be the last line of defense before code reaches production, ensuring every checkout, payment, and integration works flawlessly under real-world load.
• • Translate complex business requirements into bullet-proof test strategies. You will read BRDs, user stories, and technical specs, spot gaps, and design test plans that cover edge cases the team hasn’t thought of yet.
• • Craft crystal-clear test artefacts: master test plans, risk-based checklists, and detailed test cases that any engineer can execute. Your documentation becomes the single source of truth for QA across sprints and releases.
• • Execute functional, regression, and integration tests across custom modules, third-party extensions, and headless front ends. You will validate everything from coupon logic to ERP syncs, ensuring data integrity at every step.
• • Drive early defect discovery by running exploratory sessions, API contract tests, and automated smoke packs in CI. You will log bugs with concise reproduction steps, screenshots, network logs, and impact analysis so developers can fix issues in hours, not days.
• • Build and extend automation suites in Cypress, Playwright, or PHPUnit to shrink regression windows from days to minutes. You will decide what to automate, maintain flaky tests, and integrate suites into GitHub Actions / Jenkins pipelines.
• • Model realistic user journeys and run load tests with JMeter or k6 to prove that catalog, cart, and checkout stay sub-second under Black-Friday traffic. You will interpret metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend infrastructure tweaks.
• • Produce executive-level test reports that quantify release readiness: pass rates, defect trends, performance baselines, and risk scores. You will present findings to PMs, engineering leads, and client stakeholders, influencing go/no-go decisions.
• • Champion quality culture across squads: run bug-bash sessions, mentor junior QAs, and evangelize shift-left practices. Your feedback loops will tighten sprint after sprint, turning quality into a shared responsibility.
• • Collaborate daily with developers, DevOps, and product owners in English. You will demo defects, clarify requirements, and negotiate acceptance criteria, ensuring nothing is lost in translation across time zones.
