Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Build a QA system from scratch for Duomo’s native iOS and Android applications, establishing the first structured testing framework in a greenfield environment.
  • • Design and implement regression, smoke, and release testing processes to serve as mandatory quality gates before App Store and Google Play deployments.
  • • Integrate QA practices into the end-to-end development lifecycle, ensuring testing is embedded early and continuously across sprints and releases.
  • • Eliminate ad-hoc manual testing by creating scalable, repeatable test automation frameworks, primarily focusing on UI and E2E flows.
  • • Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) to generate test cases, analyze bugs, and enhance automation efficiency and coverage.
  • • Collaborate with engineering teams to define and enforce quality standards, reducing production incidents through proactive process design rather than reactive fixes.
  • • Establish an L2 support layer for incident analysis, enabling faster root-cause resolution and reducing engineering burden from repetitive triage.
  • • Analyze production issues using crash and monitoring tools (Sentry, Firebase Crashlytics) to identify systemic patterns and drive long-term fixes.
  • • Implement and maintain test case management systems such as Linear, TestRail, Xray, or Zephyr to track test execution, coverage, and defect trends.
  • • Ensure seamless integration of QA workflows with CI/CD pipelines to automate test triggers, feedback loops, and release approvals.
  • • Optimize release readiness by validating builds across TestFlight and Firebase App Distribution environments prior to public rollout.
  • • Continuously evolve testing strategy by shifting from manual validation to systematic automation, prioritizing high-risk and high-impact user flows.
  • • Work closely with the support team to formalize L2 diagnostic logic for user-reported issues, turning feedback into actionable test scenarios.
  • • Explore and integrate AI-driven QA workflows, including automated bug classification, test case generation, and predictive issue detection.
  • • Monitor product health through observability tools (Grafana, Amplitude) to correlate user behavior with system failures and improve test coverage.
  • • Participate in feature flag and A/B testing design to validate changes in controlled environments before full rollout.
  • • Maintain deep alignment with product goals by understanding Duomo’s mission-driven architecture focused on spiritual wellbeing and community engagement.
  • • Champion a culture of quality ownership across engineering, product, and support teams, ensuring quality is a shared responsibility, not a siloed function.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 4+ years of professional QA engineering experience
  • • Proven experience testing native iOS and Android applications
  • • Hands-on experience with mobile release processes (App Store, Google Play, TestFlight, Firebase App Distribution)
  • • Experience with UI automation tools (preferably Maestro or similar)
  • • Familiarity with bug tracking systems (Linear, TestRail, Xray, Zephyr)
  • • Experience with crash and issue monitoring tools (Sentry, Firebase Crashlytics)
  • • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with QA workflows
  • • Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) for test case generation, bug analysis, or E2E automation
  • • Strong system-level thinking and ability to design processes from zero
