  • • We are actively seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Computational Scientist or Engineer to spearhead our CFD Algorithm Development Project. This pivotal role sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence and physics-based simulations, focusing on the development of next-generation optimization tools for catalytic reactors. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), advanced GPU programming, and differentiable simulation techniques, complemented by practical experience in rigorous model validation and High-Performance Computing (HPC).
  • • As the lead for the CFD Algorithm Development Project, you will be instrumental in advancing our mission by developing and deploying a state-of-the-art, differentiable Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) framework. This framework will be engineered for scalability across multi-GPU and multi-node systems, enabling the optimization of chemical reactor designs with unprecedented precision. You will be responsible for delivering critical project milestones, bridging the complex gap between differentiable simulation methodologies and the demands of high-performance computing environments.   • • Key Responsibilities will include:

This involves extending the framework's capabilities to handle complex geometries and non-periodic boundary conditions, likely through the implementation of advanced techniques such as immersed boundary methods.
  • • Designing, implementing, and containerizing high-performance code (e.g., using Docker and enroot) to ensure seamless reproducibility and efficient scalability across distributed multi-node GPU HPC environments.
  • • Developing and optimizing parallel linear solvers, potentially leveraging Fast Fourier Transforms (FFT) or sophisticated matrix decomposition techniques. This includes creating gradient-based scripts designed to iteratively refine and optimize reactor designs based on predicted catalyst activity.
  • • Conducting rigorous validation and benchmarking of simulation accuracy. This involves comparing simulation results against established benchmark datasets and real-world fixed-bed reactor configurations, covering both non-reactive and reactive flow regimes to ensure fidelity and reliability.
  • • Collaborating closely with AI model developers to seamlessly integrate property predictions into the simulation workflow. This partnership is crucial for generating comprehensive technical reports that meticulously detail algorithm scalability, differentiability, and overall performance.
  • • Contributing to the architectural design and implementation of robust, scalable, and efficient CFD algorithms tailored for modern GPU hardware.
