- • Senior Researcher focused on Diffusion and Vision Research at Protege Inc., leading the evaluation and optimization of large-scale datasets for training generative video models to ensure data quality, diversity, and production readiness.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing and summarizing the video catalog, maintaining data scorecards and metrics, designing and running model evaluations to link failures to data gaps, defining evaluation sets and slices for real-world use cases, and engaging with external researchers to identify emerging data needs and model pain points.
- • Protege Inc. is a fast-moving, high-trust team building a platform to solve AI’s data access problem by enabling secure, efficient, and privacy-centric exchange of training data, backed by top investors and already powering partnerships with ambitious AI teams.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in video data quality, build technical benchmarks and evaluation frameworks, influence how data impacts model performance across the training stack, and help establish Protege as the go-to platform for video training data through strategic, hands-on research and collaboration.
🎯 Requirements
- • PhD or equivalent Master’s degree + 4+ years industry experience in machine learning, computer science, statistics, engineering, or a related quantitative field, with a focus on diffusion models or video data
- • Proven experience designing and running model evaluations and data analyses (benchmarks, ablations, slice‑based analyses)
- • Ability to understand data impact on models at various stages of the training stack
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to write concise technical docs and explain empirical results clearly
- • High ownership and bias toward action; independently scope questions, design experiments, and drive them to decisions
