📋 Description

• As a Senior Revenue Accountant at Vanta, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and driving the evolution of accounting operations in a high-growth, remote-first environment.
• You will own complex revenue accounting areas including commission accruals and deferrals, revenue contract reviews, and revenue reconciliations, while also maintaining general ledger accuracy and supporting audit readiness.
• You will work cross-functionally with FP&A, Engineering, Billing Operations, Deal Desk, Business Systems, Legal, and People teams to bridge accounting rigor with operational excellence and support scalable financial processes.
• In this role, you will develop expertise in ASC 606 and ASC 340, lead process automation initiatives, and contribute to the scalability of Vanta’s finance function as the company expands globally.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA track strongly preferred
• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a combination of public accounting and private industry experience considered a plus
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly revenue accounting (ASC 606) and contract cost accounting (ASC 340)
• Experience working in a high-growth or fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting business needs
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and comfort working with ERP systems such as NetSuite
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
• Experience with close management tools and process optimization efforts
• Open to using AI responsibly to enhance efficiency and impact
