- • As a Senior Revenue Accountant at 1Password, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial reporting, directly supporting the organization’s rapid growth and mission to secure digital identities for millions of users worldwide. Your work will impact strategic decision-making by providing reliable revenue data that informs leadership, investors, and cross-functional partners.
- • You will be responsible for booking journal entries related to revenue, accounts receivable, allowance for doubtful accounts, deferred revenue, and cash; performing month-end reconciliations for revenue-related balance sheet accounts; preparing detailed month-end analysis of P&L and balance sheet account variances; producing clear, well-structured documentation and memos for internal and external stakeholders; identifying and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial operations; coordinating and facilitating internal and external audits; executing on key internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy; and performing ad hoc projects as assigned by the Manager, Revenue Accounting.
- • You will join a high-performing, collaborative Accounting team within a fast-growing, innovative cybersecurity leader that values transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. The team operates with a strong sense of ownership and is deeply integrated with Finance, FP&A, and Go-to-Market functions to ensure revenue recognition aligns with contractual obligations and ASC 606 standards.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in SaaS revenue accounting, gain exposure to complex billing models and multi-channel revenue streams, and develop leadership potential through process ownership and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to audit readiness, system enhancements (including Netsuite, Salesforce, and Stripe), and the evolution of 1Password’s financial infrastructure as it scales toward $1B+ ARR.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of experience in an accounting role, preferably at a SaaS company or public accounting firm
- • CPA or CA designation, or actively pursuing such designation
- • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Netsuite) and advanced Excel skills
