- • As a Senior Revenue Accountant at DeepL, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition in alignment with IFRS 15, directly supporting the financial integrity and scalability of a fast-growing global AI company. Your expertise will enable DeepL to maintain trust with stakeholders, investors, and auditors while scaling its SaaS operations across 228 markets.
- • You will own end-to-end revenue accounting processes, including contract analysis, month-end close, financial reporting, system implementation, and cross-functional collaboration with Deal Desk, Legal, Sales Operations, and Product teams to ensure revenue is recognized accurately and timely across complex SaaS and high-volume data environments.
- • You will join a highly skilled finance team of approximately four revenue specialists within DeepL’s global finance organization, contributing to a culture of precision, innovation, and continuous improvement in a company backed by top-tier investors and driven by mission-focused AI innovation.
- • You will develop advanced technical and automation skills by building SQL queries and Python scripts to streamline reconciliations, improve process efficiency, and influence the design of revenue recognition systems, positioning yourself as a strategic finance partner in a technology-forward organization.
- • You will gain exposure to international accounting standards, lead policy development, and partner with external auditors, enhancing your expertise in complex revenue scenarios and preparing you for leadership roles in global finance or controllership.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in revenue management or accounting, with strong hands-on experience in IFRS 15 compliance
- • Qualified accountant designation (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- • Proficiency in SQL (2+ years) and Python for data extraction, automation, and financial modeling; experience with Workday or Chargebee is a plus
