- • Senior Revenue Accounting Manager leading and scaling Zip’s revenue accounting function in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- • Own month-end close activities for global revenue recognition and commissions accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analysis.
- • Partner with Senior Director of Revenue Accounting Operations and cross-functional teams in Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal to review contracts, assess revenue impact, and drive process improvements.
- • Prepare technical accounting policy memos on complex topics like variable consideration, SSP, and principal vs. agent assessments; lead automation initiatives in quote-to-cash workflows.
- • Build and maintain operational procedures, manage external audits, and coach senior revenue accountants to ensure technical excellence and ASC 606 compliance.
- • Work at Zip, an AI-powered enterprise procurement platform trusted by T-Mobile, OpenAI, AMD, and others, backed by $371M in funding and valued at $2.2B.
- • Contribute to a mission-driven culture focused on innovation, ownership, and inclusivity, with opportunities to grow alongside product and procurement leaders from Apple, Airbnb, Meta, and NASA.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- • 8+ years of relevant accounting experience, with public accounting and/or high-growth company experience preferred.
- • Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and proven experience applying revenue recognition guidance to complex customer arrangements.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain complex revenue topics to non-finance stakeholders.
- • Proficiency with MS Office, NetSuite, and/or other revenue recognition accounting systems.
- • Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving systems and processes.
