  • • Conduct a specified number of risk surveys annually across the South East and Thames Valley in alignment with Company technical guidance, producing detailed reports and actionable risk improvement recommendations within established service standards.
  • • Support the UK Survey Team Manager in managing, motivating, and developing the Regional Risk Control Team to ensure high standards of technical competence, service delivery, and performance.
  • • Perform audits of risk survey reports submitted by other surveyors to verify adherence to technical standards and identify areas for training and professional development.
  • • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technical, legal, and regulatory developments in fire, perils, business interruption, theft/security, and liability risk exposures, and communicate insights to the Risk Control Team and Underwriting Department.
  • • Promote Arch Insurance’s risk management support services to brokers and clients through direct engagement and professional presentations.
  • • Deliver training and coaching sessions to internal team members and external stakeholders to enhance risk control practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, claims, and other departments to align risk survey outcomes with underwriting strategies and drive profitable business growth and retention.
  • • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality, consistency, and market reputation of Arch’s risk control services across the region.
  • • Utilize MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint to prepare survey reports, presentations, and documentation in compliance with company protocols.
  • • Maintain a valid driving licence and be prepared to travel extensively throughout the South East and Thames Valley to conduct on-site risk assessments at client premises.
  • • Act as a technical resource and point of contact for brokers and clients seeking expert advice on insurable risk mitigation and compliance.
  • • Ensure all survey activities and reporting reflect Arch’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and client-focused risk management solutions.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 10+ years of surveying experience across manufacturing, distribution, leisure, and service trades
  • • Chartered Insurance Institute: CIP/ACII qualification
  • • Institute of Risk Management: CMIRM qualification
  • • NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma or equivalent
  • • Valid driving licence
  • • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
