📋 Description

• Serve as a founding member of Dicey’s Risk, Trading, and Operations function, acting as the commercial pit boss for a crypto casino and sportsbook platform targeting the $180B+ iGaming and sports betting markets.
• Monitor live Sportsbook and Casino activity in real-time to detect and mitigate sharp play, arbitrage opportunities, technical exploits, and bonus abuse.
• Profile players by tracking profitability, betting patterns, and withdrawal velocity to determine risk levels and execute appropriate actions such as account restrictions or market adjustments.
• Analyze casino game outcomes against expected Return to Player (RTP) rates to identify technical anomalies, multi-accounting, and potential manipulation.
• Manage pre-match and in-play sportsbook exposure, including liability tracking, market movement monitoring, and dynamic risk setting adjustments.
• Handle trading operations including configuration of platform risk parameters, coordination with feed providers, and execution of bet reviews and betting limit modifications.
• Collaborate with Fraud and Payments teams to review high-risk withdrawals and detect suspicious payment patterns indicative of fraud or money laundering.
• Build and refine data-driven risk reports and automated alerting frameworks to improve detection accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with Trading, VIP, Product, and Customer Support teams to align risk strategies with business goals and escalate critical incidents directly to the Risk Manager.
• Maintain 24/7 operational readiness, including shift work, to respond to high-volume trading periods and real-time risk events across global markets.
• Balance risk mitigation with customer experience, ensuring commercial decisions protect margins without unnecessarily restricting legitimate player activity.
• Apply deep knowledge of sports betting odds, liabilities, exposure metrics, and casino volatility mechanics to make high-conviction, commercial decisions under pressure.
• Utilize data tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI platforms to rapidly identify pricing inefficiencies, sharp player behavior, and systemic vulnerabilities.
• Operate with composure and clarity during peak-volume periods, communicating risk assessments and escalation actions with precision to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Contribute to the long-term sustainability of platform margins by continuously optimizing risk rules, detection logic, and operational workflows.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in a Risk, Trading, or Fraud role within iGaming or Sports Betting
• Deep understanding of trading concepts (odds, liabilities, exposure) and casino mechanics (RTP, volatility)
• Experience with data tools (Excel, SQL, BI) to rapidly spot sharp action and pricing inefficiencies
• Ability to make fast, commercial decisions in high-volume, 24/7 live environments (including shifts)
• Clear articulation during escalations and a calm demeanor during high-pressure, peak-volume periods
