Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own end-to-end development of LucidLink’s Salesforce platform including Apex classes, triggers, flows, data models, and integration layers.
- • Transition Salesforce platform ownership from a managed service provider to in-house, establishing documentation, governance, and scalable development practices from day one.
- • Design and implement REST/webhook-based integrations between Salesforce, Stripe/Recurly billing platforms, and the engineering provisioning backend (WebService), defining clear system-of-record boundaries.
- • Build and maintain a scalable Quote-to-Cash (QTC) data model that supports all four selling motions: Self-Service, Direct Sales, Reseller/MSP, and AWS Marketplace.
- • Reduce billing system complexity by consolidating pricing plan sprawl, eliminating duplicate logic, and clarifying ownership of system-of-record components.
- • Serve as the primary technical partner to the VP of Revenue Operations, translating business requirements into technical designs and communicating trade-offs, sequencing, and timelines clearly.
- • Lead requirements discovery sessions with RevOps, Finance, and Sales stakeholders, facilitating whiteboard sessions to produce actionable specs.
- • Design and deliver the full QTC lifecycle: digital checkout and self-service subscription activation, sales-led quoting and contract execution, subscription lifecycle management (upgrades, downgrades, cancellations), usage-based metering and billing triggers, and invoice generation/collections workflows.
- • Evaluate and support migration from custom engineering-built billing logic to commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) CPQ or subscription management tools, providing key input on build-vs-buy decisions.
- • Establish and enforce Salesforce development standards, naming conventions, and deployment practices to ensure scalability as the Enterprise Applications team grows.
- • Maintain a prioritized backlog in close coordination with the VP of RevOps and Gregory, with transparent sprint commitments and status updates.
- • Participate in hiring and onboarding future developers and operations specialists — screening candidates, defining role requirements, setting technical standards, and mentoring junior team members.
- • Collaborate with Product Engineering to design the contract between Salesforce and the WebService provisioning system, owning the Salesforce side while aligning on integration boundaries.
- • Document all configurations, integrations, and processes to ensure knowledge retention and smooth handoffs as the team scales.
- • Automate manual RevOps and Billing Ops workflows using native Salesforce tools to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- • Maintain a forward-looking approach to data modeling, ensuring scalability for subscription, usage-based, and partner billing models across global operations.
- • Act as the sole senior technical resource on the Enterprise Applications team, operating independently without a dedicated architect while delivering production-quality code and architecture.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5-8+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and end-to-end delivery experience
- • Deep expertise in Apex coding (classes, triggers, batch jobs, async patterns) and strong flow/process automation skills
- • Proven experience designing and building REST/webhook integrations between Salesforce and external systems (billing platforms, ERP, provisioning APIs)
- • Direct experience with at least one commercial billing platform (Stripe, Recurly, Zuora, or equivalent) and understanding of subscription, pricing, invoice triggers, and metering APIs
- • Hands-on Quote-to-Cash (QTC) experience in a SaaS environment covering quoting, subscription lifecycle, usage-based billing, revenue recognition, or collections automation
- • Strong stakeholder communication skills to translate RevOps requirements into clean data models and technical specs
- • Ability to operate as a solo senior contributor on a lean team — self-directed, writes own specs, no need for dedicated architect
- • Experience contributing to team growth through hiring, screening, interviewing, and mentoring junior or mid-level developers
🏖️ Benefits
- • Flexible PTO
- • Competitive salary
- • Stock options
- • Full health coverage
- • Strong work-life balance
- • Opportunity to be part of a hypergrowth startup on a path to unicorn status
