Senior SCADA Engineer, EPC (Remote)

📋 Description

• • Lead the development and commissioning of SCADA monitoring and control systems for utility-scale renewable energy projects, including Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• • Define and implement SCADA design standards and best practices aligned with company objectives.
• • Own end-to-end PPC implementation on assigned projects, including programming, hardware/software integration, factory acceptance testing, and site acceptance testing to meet ISO, utility, and customer requirements.
• • Generate and maintain project documentation including SAT reports, plant control narratives, device points lists, and training materials while adhering to defined company standards.
• • Provide expert-level technical support for diverse SCADA equipment configurations and serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex PPC and SCADA issues.
• • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical review, knowledge sharing, and reinforcement of engineering standards.
• • Drive standardization and process improvements to reduce commissioning effort and improve system consistency across projects.
• • Coordinate with customers and field technicians for on-site commissioning and installation support.
• • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SCADA system integration across renewable energy projects.
• • Provide regular project status updates and risk assessments, proactively identifying and mitigating technical and schedule risks to ensure successful project delivery.
• • Promote a collaborative, team-first culture by approaching challenges with a solution-oriented mindset that emphasizes enablement over barriers.
• • Operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces to define technical direction and guide solution development.
• • Promote and adhere to a culture of NERC compliance and governance regarding programming, commissioning standards, documentation, reporting, knowledge transfer, and training.
• • Support operations and asset management teams during project handoff to ensure seamless transition, operational readiness, and long-term system reliability.
• • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, reduce commissioning time, and standardize solutions across projects.
• • Ensure SCADA and PPC designs, programming, and commissioning activities meet established quality and performance standards.
• • Ensure SCADA configuration and testing activities comply with utility, NERC, and SOLV standards.
• • Adhere to company policies and procedures, safety protocols, and quality practices.
• • Maintain and advance professional technical skills and industry knowledge over time.
• • Support staff development through direct mentorship of junior engineers.
• • Resolve communication and data integration issues independently.
• • Utilize project management, scheduling, and task management tools effectively to track and deliver assigned tasks on schedule.
