- • Architect and scale a brand-new incident response automation program from scratch in a high-growth consumer FinTech environment, operating with full autonomy to navigate ambiguity and define technical direction.
- • Modernize manual security operations into an agile, automated ecosystem by designing and implementing low-code/no-code SOAR workflows using platforms such as Torq, Tines, or equivalent.
- • Design, build, and tune high-fidelity SIEM alerts that trigger automated containment pipelines, reducing false positives and improving detection accuracy.
- • Integrate disparate security tools and systems via APIs to enable seamless data flow and coordinated response actions across the security stack.
- • Leverage Python scripting and AI/LLM tools to accelerate security workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance decision-making in incident response scenarios.
- • Partner with cross-functional teams to define and implement DLP controls, establish incident escalation pathways, and align security automation with business risk tolerance.
- • Contribute to on-call security operations by ensuring automated systems are reliable, monitored, and capable of handling critical incidents without manual intervention.
- • Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, compliance, and risk teams to translate security requirements into automated controls that are scalable and auditable.
- • Build and document comprehensive incident response playbooks that standardize procedures, reduce mean time to respond, and improve team readiness.
- • Drive the adoption of automation across the security team by demonstrating value through measurable improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and response speed.
- • Maintain awareness of evolving threats and regulatory expectations in the FinTech sector to ensure automation frameworks remain compliant and effective.
- • Continuously evaluate and refine automation logic based on real-world incident data, feedback from security analysts, and changes in the threat landscape.
- • Serve as a technical leader in SecOps automation, mentoring junior engineers and setting best practices for tooling, documentation, and workflow design.
- • Work remotely with a U.S.-based client while being part of a global team of 600+ tech professionals based in Latin America.
- • Contribute to high-impact projects with industry-leading U.S. companies, gaining exposure to cutting-edge security challenges in a regulated financial technology environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Extensive senior-level experience in SecOps, SOAR, or Security Automation
- • Proven track record of building and maturing an incident response automation program from the ground up
- • Deep, hands-on experience designing and implementing SOAR workflows; specific expertise in Torq, Tines, or similar platforms is highly preferred
- • Strong background in SIEM detection engineering, encompassing the design, build, and tuning phases
- • Demonstrated ability to seamlessly integrate complex security tools utilizing APIs
- • Proficiency in basic scripting for automation; strong programming skills in Python are a significant plus
