  • • As a Senior Service Center Representative for Banner Plans & Networks, you will take inbound calls answering member and provider questions regarding coverage, benefits, claims, and other plan inquiries in a fast-paced, multitasking environment with a goal of first call resolution.
  • • You will provide leadership and expertise to representatives, support the development of health plans and staff by coordinating training, documentation, and client communication techniques, and serve as a primary resource for complex and sensitive cases, including handling escalated calls.
  • • You will work remotely in Arizona with shifts Monday-Friday between 6am-9pm (Arizona Time Zone), with an expectation of 40 hours per week, though hours are not guaranteed and some after-hours or weekend training may be required with advanced notice.
  • • You will maintain records, track cases, issue correspondence, log events, provide direction and leadership in daily workflow, and work on special projects as assigned, all while interpreting company and managed care policies to meet diverse customer needs.
  • • This role offers opportunities to develop expertise in benefit plans, managed care policies, customer service leadership, and healthcare operations within a major health system, with potential to transition into regular Banner Health positions as an internal applicant.

🎯 Requirements

  • • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
  • • Three to four years of substantial previous related work experience in managed care benefits member/provider services, preferably in a high-volume service center or managed care environment
  • • Excellent communication skills to handle moderately complex inquiries, maintain a positive attitude, and manage high call volumes while using customer information systems effectively
  • • Must reside in the state of Arizona
  • • Ability to learn and effectively use Banner Health’s customer information systems and maintain fundamental knowledge of benefit plans
  • • Preferred: Experience with self-insured plans and bilingual Spanish/English skills
