� Description

• • Architect the next generation of Token Metrics’ analytics & trading-bot platform, used by crypto investors on every continent. You will own the technical vision, set architectural standards, and translate ambitious product goals into resilient, cloud-native designs that scale to millions of concurrent users and billions of data points.
• • Lead a 360° audit of our current stack—front-end (Next.js, Tailwind, Shadcn), API layer, OLTP/OLAP data stores (Postgres, Snowflake), and event-driven back-end services—then create a prioritized modernization roadmap that balances speed-to-market with long-term scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• • Design fault-tolerant, micro-service-oriented architectures on Google Cloud (GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, BigQuery) that guarantee <100 ms p95 latency for real-time price feeds, support 99.99 % uptime SLA, and can auto-scale 10× during market volatility without human intervention.
• • Establish repeatable patterns for CI/CD, IaC (Terraform), container security scanning, blue-green & canary releases, and chaos testing so that every team ships features faster while cutting production incidents by 40 % within the first year.
• • Act as the technical authority for data modeling and streaming pipelines: define how on-chain metrics, social sentiment, and order-book data are ingested, normalized, and served to both low-latency APIs and heavy analytical workloads in Snowflake without duplication or data drift.
• • Champion quality-at-source: introduce TDD/BDD guidelines, code-review checklists, static-analysis gates, and automated performance benchmarks that reduce escaped defects by 50 % and drive a culture of engineering excellence across squads in US, Europe, and Asia time-zones.
• • Mentor senior and staff engineers through architecture guilds, brown-bag sessions, and architecture decision records (ADRs); grow the next generation of architects while raising the overall technical bar of the organization.
• • Partner with Product, Quant, and Data-Science teams to translate machine-learning models for price prediction, portfolio optimization, and risk scoring into scalable services that can be A/B-tested and productionized within days, not weeks.
• • Own non-functional requirements—GDPR, SOC-2, KYC/AML data handling, and crypto-specific security threats such as private-key management, replay attacks, and MEV—ensuring every design passes internal and external audits on the first pass.
• • Create and maintain living architecture diagrams, technical runbooks, and post-mortem cultures that turn incidents into institutional knowledge, enabling 24/7 on-call rotations across four continents to resolve issues swiftly and prevent recurrence.
• • Evaluate emerging tech (e.g., zero-knowledge proofs, decentralized storage, Layer-2 rollups) and produce quick spikes or proof-of-concepts that keep Token Metrics at the cutting edge of the crypto analytics space.
• • Report directly to the CTO, present quarterly architecture reviews to the executive team, and have a material impact on company OKRs, budget allocation, and strategic partnerships with cloud providers, data vendors, and blockchain foundations.
