  • • Architect, build, and maintain production-grade test infrastructure and automation frameworks for cloud-based digital forensic software products.
  • • Design and implement robust cloud test strategies and validation systems that ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of AI-powered platforms.
  • • Write high-quality, maintainable code for testing tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automated validation systems treated as critical engineering infrastructure.
  • • Treat test automation as a software engineering discipline, applying the same rigor, code standards, and design principles to test code as to production code.
  • • Develop and enhance automation frameworks that serve internal customers (developers) with the same level of care and quality as customer-facing features.
  • • Collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and other SDETs to identify testing gaps and design comprehensive test coverage for complex digital evidence acquisition and analysis systems.
  • • Own end-to-end testing lifecycle for cloud platforms, including test planning, execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of automation efficacy.
  • • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable releases while maintaining high standards of software quality.
  • • Evaluate and adopt emerging testing technologies and methodologies to improve test automation efficiency and coverage across multi-platform environments (computers, smartphones, tablets, IoT).
  • • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level failures in automated test environments, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
  • • Document test architectures, automation workflows, and best practices to enable knowledge sharing and onboarding across global engineering teams.
  • • Champion quality culture by advocating for testability in product design and influencing development practices to prevent defects at the source.
  • • Lead initiatives to improve test automation metrics such as pass rates, flakiness reduction, and execution speed across distributed development teams.
  • • Participate in code reviews for both production and test code to ensure consistency, maintainability, and adherence to engineering standards.
  • • Contribute to the evolution of Magnet Forensics’ next-generation AI-powered investigative tools by ensuring their accuracy, stability, and compliance with forensic integrity requirements.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience as a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a focus on cloud platforms and CI/CD automation
  • • Strong proficiency in writing production-grade test automation code in languages such as Python, Java, or C#
  • • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and its implications for test automation and scalability
  • • Experience designing and maintaining scalable test frameworks for complex, multi-platform software systems
  • • Demonstrated ability to treat test infrastructure as a product with internal customers, applying software engineering best practices
  • • Experience integrating automated tests into DevOps pipelines and monitoring test health in production-like environments
