📋 Description

• As a Senior Software Engineer at Minted Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company’s product catalog experience by building modern, dynamic, and scalable full-stack solutions that integrate business logic and AI-driven insights to deliver unique customer outcomes. Your work will directly impact how users discover, interact with, and purchase products, making this role central to Minted’s mission of connecting independent artists with consumers through innovative e-commerce experiences.
• You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack features using Python and JavaScript (React), with a focus on performance optimization, seamless integration of first- and third-party systems, and robust data management for product catalogs and categories. This includes writing clean, testable code, conducting code reviews, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, and ensuring system reliability and scalability in a mid-to-large-scale environment.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams — including product, design, data science, and business stakeholders — to translate strategic initiatives into technical implementations; mentoring junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing; participating in agile ceremonies; and driving continuous improvement in engineering practices such as CI/CD, testing strategies, and observability.
• You will own end-to-end feature delivery from concept to production, including architecting scalable APIs, optimizing frontend rendering and state management in React, implementing server-side logic in Python, and ensuring data consistency across microservices and external integrations. Performance tuning — including load testing, caching strategies, and database query optimization — will be a regular part of your workflow to ensure low-latency, high-availability user experiences.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with proven expertise in full-stack development using Python (backend) and JavaScript/React (frontend)
• Strong experience with product catalog systems, data modeling, and integration of first- and third-party services (e.g., payment gateways, inventory systems, CMS)
• Demonstrated ability to optimize application performance through profiling, caching, database optimization, and frontend rendering techniques
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering engineering best practices in a team environment
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable code with unit and integration testing; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively with product, design, and business stakeholders
