📋 Description

• Evolve and maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM) services for the Planet Insights Platform to enable secure, controlled data access for internal and external customers.
• Design future IAM services in collaboration with cross-functional teams and organizational stakeholders to support rapid, AI-powered solution development in Earth observation.
• Develop and enhance web applications owned by the IAM team using React for the front-end and Java for the back-end.
• Champion platform adoption by creating tools, libraries, and comprehensive technical documentation to assist engineering teams in integrating with IAM systems.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to IAM solutions, ensuring platform reliability and security.
• Work with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environments to support scalable and evolving backend services.
• Conduct design and code reviews to maintain high-quality engineering standards across the team.
• Mentor junior software engineers and provide technical leadership to foster team growth and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with emerging developments in software engineering and evaluate new technologies to improve platform capabilities.
• Ensure IAM services facilitate secure machine-to-machine (M2M) communication across all platform services.
• Maintain a strong focus on making IAM systems secure, reliable, and easy to use for diverse user groups.
• Collaborate with teams globally to align IAM architecture with broader platform goals and customer needs.
• Participate in domain-driven technical discussions to balance stakeholder requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform’s authentication and authorization infrastructure.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Experience with Java or other similar object-oriented languages
• Experience with REST APIs and HTTP(S)
• Good grasp of relational databases
• Professional working proficiency in English
