- • Senior Software Engineer 2 (L5) at Stepful Inc. is a pivotal role focused on building and scaling technology that expands access to healthcare careers through innovative, AI-supported education platforms.
- • Day to day, the engineer will develop and iterate on a world-class Learning Management System, design career services tools using generative AI, empower internal teams with instructor and operator platforms, manage scalable content pipelines, and ensure reliable data infrastructure for data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- • Stepful is a Y Combinator-backed EdTech company named #1 in the U.S. by TIME for 2025, partnering with major healthcare providers like CVS, NY-Presbyterian, and Walgreens to address national healthcare worker shortages through affordable, instructor-led training programs.
- • In this role, the engineer will have ownership over full-stack development, solve complex problems with cutting-edge technology, learn rapidly in a fast-paced environment, and directly contribute to improving healthcare access and career opportunities for underserved populations.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience with ownership of the full development lifecycle
- • Proficiency in React and Typescript on the frontend
- • Familiarity with at least one backend language: Python, Node.js, or Ruby on Rails
- • Experience in a direct-to-consumer startup, preferably in EdTech or Healthcare (bonus)
- • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and a strong ownership mindset
- • Willingness to learn new technologies and solve complex problems with innovation
