- • As a Senior Software Engineer on the Firefox Monitor team at Mozilla Corporation, you will be a core contributor to a modern, cloud-native Node.js/TypeScript full-stack application that helps users understand and respond to data breaches by notifying them when their credentials appear in exposed datasets.
- • Day to day, you will lead backend development in Node.js and TypeScript, design and maintain integrations with external data sources like Have I Been Pwned (HIBP), build and manage event-driven systems using Google Cloud Pub/Sub, own cloud infrastructure on GCP (GKE) and AWS (S3, SES), evolve the data layer with PostgreSQL and Redis, collaborate with SRE on production reliability using OpenTelemetry, Sentry, Prometheus, and Grafana, triage and resolve production issues, rotate into Base Load Engineer (BLE) duties, partner with frontend teams on React/TypeScript/Next.js integration, participate in code and security reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
- • You will join the Firefox Monitor Engineering Team, which operates at scale serving millions of users and sits at the intersection of security, data privacy, and product engineering, all within Mozilla Corporation — a non-profit-backed technology company dedicated to making the internet better for people through open-source software like Firefox, with no shareholder influence and a mission-driven culture.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud-native backend systems, data privacy engineering, observability, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to a product that protects millions of users’ online privacy, with opportunities to lead technical excellence, mentor others, and shape privacy-first features at a mission-driven organization.
