📋 Description

• Build and scale the core orchestration engine for UiPath’s AI agentic platform, recognized as the Invention of the Year for two consecutive years, enabling enterprises to orchestrate AI agents, robots, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Write production-quality code daily using AI coding assistants like Claude and GitHub Copilot to enhance development efficiency and output quality.
• Take ideas from prototype to production by validating concepts with real customers and shipping high-impact features that drive measurable business outcomes.
• Design and implement evaluations to measure system quality using real customer data, ensuring honest metric tracking and avoiding vanity metrics in non-deterministic AI systems.
• Deeply understand end-user needs and translate them into elegant technical solutions, ensuring features are customer-centric and solve real enterprise problems.
• Contribute to the development of highly scalable, reliable distributed systems that enterprises depend on for critical automation workflows, with emphasis on idempotency, replayability, and state management.
• Work across full-stack environments, developing backend services in Python and C#, and integrating frontend components using React and TypeScript.
• Design and implement AI systems including LLMs, tool-calling, multi-agent architectures, and orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.
• Integrate AI coding tools into daily engineering workflows and drive team adoption by setting norms, measuring impact, and iterating on usage patterns.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams using agile development, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code practices to deliver high-quality software in fast-paced cycles.
• Operate within a small-team, startup-like environment inside UiPath’s Vertical Solutions unit, iterating rapidly, demoing frequently, and adapting based on real-time customer feedback.
• Ensure system reliability through robust architectural design, including cloud-native programming models, multithreading, asynchronous processing, and synchronization.
• Leverage cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) to deploy and manage scalable backend services.
• Work with retrieval-heavy architectures, RAG systems, and citation-grounded AI workflows where applicable, and blend deterministic rules engines with probabilistic AI components.
• Participate in eval-driven development, including regression testing for LLM outputs and human-in-the-loop review workflows to improve AI system trustworthiness.
• Engage with workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal, Airflow, Maestro, BPMN, or Step Functions to design and optimize automation pipelines.
• Contribute to product development with frontend familiarity in React and TypeScript, ensuring seamless integration between backend logic and user-facing interfaces.
• Apply strong analytical thinking to reason quantitatively about system performance, make decisions using imperfect signals, and navigate ambiguity in rapidly evolving product landscapes.
• Communicate complex technical decisions effectively to stakeholders at all levels, from engineers to product leaders, ensuring alignment on priorities and trade-offs.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years focused on distributed systems and backend architecture
• Strong full-stack knowledge including Python and/or C# for backend, and React for frontend
• Experience building production AI systems using LLMs, tool-calling, multi-agent architectures, and orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph
• Experience designing resilient distributed systems with idempotency, replayability, state management, and long-running jobs
• Proficiency with cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) and integrating them into daily engineering workflows
