📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based services that process trillions of daily holiday offers and serve thousands of requests per second.
• Develop and own end-to-end software systems including supplier integration, real-time pricing, booking fulfillment, and payment management platforms.
• Engineer industry-leading search and recommendation systems that deliver personalized holiday experiences to customers.
• Implement AI-powered solutions to enhance customer support and decision-making before and after booking.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-impact features with strong business alignment and observability.
• Apply engineering principles focused on reducing time to delivery, minimizing errors, and continuously improving system reliability.
• Build and operate modern web and mobile applications with a focus on best-in-class user experience.
• Design system architectures that balance short-term business needs with long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using TypeScript, Java, Golang, Rust, or Python.
• Utilize containers, cloud infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices to deploy over a thousand times per month.
• Implement robust observability, monitoring, and testing frameworks to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Contribute to open-source projects and share technical knowledge through internal and external blogs.
• Participate in iterative development cycles, prioritizing business impact and system health in every delivery.
• Understand the broader business context to align technical decisions with company goals as loveholidays expands across Europe.
• Continuously improve systems by leaving them better than found, adhering to the company’s five core engineering principles.
• Engage in code reviews, architecture discussions, and cross-team collaboration to foster technical excellence.

🎯 Requirements

• Expertise in algorithms and data structures
• Strong knowledge of web services, REST, and HTTP protocols
• Experience building and owning applications end-to-end from inception to maintenance
• Proven ability to design systems that scale under high load
• Proficiency in at least one of: TypeScript, Java, Golang, Rust, or Python
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, containers, and observability tools
