📋 Description

• A pivotal early engineering role at a well-funded Series B legaltech startup redefining legal services by combining AI with human expertise to help businesses review and negotiate contracts in hours rather than days.
• Design, build, and deploy scalable systems and agentic AI tools to accelerate contract review workflows; own end-to-end product development across the stack with a strong focus on intuitive, lawyer-facing interfaces; collaborate directly with founders to define technical priorities and establish a robust, maintainable codebase; develop and integrate large language model (LLM)-powered tools into the core platform; contribute to a high-energy, in-person engineering culture focused on shipping quickly and iterating fast; mentor junior engineers and help recruit talent as the team scales.
• Join a growing engineering team at Clera, a venture-backed legaltech startup transforming contract review through AI-powered tools, where you’ll work closely with leadership to shape the technical foundation of the product in an in-person, high-impact environment.
• Shape the technical foundation of a cutting-edge contract review platform, gain deep experience in building AI-integrated full-stack systems, mentor junior engineers, and influence hiring and culture as the team scales — all while working on-site in NYC with visa sponsorship available.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of full-stack development experience
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks — React, Vue, or Svelte
• Experience building frontend AI tools, agents, or interfaces
• Prior experience at a high-growth, venture-backed startup
• Willingness and ability to work on-site at the NYC office
