Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Join Goods & Services as a Senior Software Engineer and become the technical linchpin behind the automation fabric that powers mission-critical systems for Fortune-500 life-science and financial-services giants. You will architect, code, and scale the continuous-delivery backbone that ships secure, compliant software to millions of end-users across North America and Europe.
- • Own the end-to-end design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines that compress release cycles from weeks to hours while maintaining FDA, HIPAA, and SOX compliance. You will write Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) that provisions multi-region, multi-account AWS estates and ensures every environment—from developer laptops to production—is reproducible, observable, and cost-optimized.
- • Build custom tooling in Go, TypeScript, and JavaScript that eliminates toil for 200+ engineers across Mexico, the U.K., and the U.S. Examples include self-service CLI utilities that spin up ephemeral test clusters, Slack bots that surface security-violation trends, and GitHub Actions that auto-generate SBOMs for regulated releases.
- • Harden cloud security posture by integrating policy-as-code (OPA, HashiCorp Sentinel) into deployment workflows, enabling automatic remediation of misconfigurations and real-time drift detection. You will partner with InfoSec to translate regulatory controls into executable guardrails without slowing delivery velocity.
- • Extend the internal developer platform—an opinionated, paved-road environment that abstracts Kubernetes, serverless, and data pipelines—so product teams can ship features without becoming cloud experts. Your APIs and golden templates will reduce onboarding time for new hires from days to minutes.
- • Champion DevOps culture through measurable SRE practices: error budgets, SLIs/SLOs, and chaos experiments. You will instrument services with OpenTelemetry, surface golden signals in Grafana, and lead blameless post-mortems that turn outages into systemic improvements.
- • Mentor mid-level engineers via pair programming, design reviews, and brown-bag sessions. You will define coding standards, create architectural decision records (ADRs), and foster a culture where knowledge sharing is as valued as feature delivery.
- • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and regulatory-affairs specialists to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions. You will frequently whiteboard architectures that balance speed, security, and cost, then iterate rapidly based on user feedback and compliance audits.
- • Contribute to open-source projects and internal libraries that give back to the broader tech community while elevating Goods & Services’ reputation as a thought leader in regulated-industry DevOps.
- • Work 100 % remotely from Mexico or Colombia with flexible hours that respect deep-focus time. Quarterly in-person summits in Mexico City or London provide high-bandwidth collaboration and team-building opportunities.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field
- • 3 + years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating production-grade cloud solutions on AWS (Azure familiarity a plus)
- • Proven track record building CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling using Go, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless)
- • Solid grasp of Infrastructure-as-Code, configuration management, and cloud security best practices
- • Nice-to-have: prior experience in highly regulated industries (life sciences, financial services) and familiarity with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, SOX, or GxP
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote-first culture with flexible working hours and a results-only work environment
- • Competitive compensation package plus annual performance bonus
- • Annual professional-development stipend (conferences, certifications, courses) and dedicated 10 % innovation time
- • Comprehensive health insurance for you and eligible dependents, plus generous PTO and company-wide mental-health days
