- • As a Senior Software Engineer - AI at Newfold Digital, you will design and scale AI-powered APIs and agent workflows that serve millions of customers globally, directly contributing to the company’s mission of enabling digital presence through trusted brands like Bluehost, HostGator, and Web.com.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include building async REST/WebSocket APIs with Python 3.11+ and FastAPI, implementing multi-agent workflows using Semantic Kernel, integrating LLM providers (OpenAI GPT-4.1/mini, Google Gemini 2.5 Flash) via a provider-agnostic layer, delivering RAG solutions with vector stores (Azure AI Search, pgvector, Chroma), exposing tool-using agents via OpenAI Assistants, evolving database schemas with SQLModel/SQLAlchemy 2 and Alembic, maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Bitbucket Jenkins, instrumenting services with structlog, OpenTelemetry, and cost/latency metrics, and championing AI-assisted development practices like GitHub Copilot and Cursor.
- • You will join a leading web technology company with a robust portfolio of industry-recognized brands, where innovation in AI is central to enhancing customer digital experiences at scale. The engineering team values clean architecture, observability, and pragmatic problem-solving in a remote-first environment.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in production-grade AI systems, gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge LLM orchestration frameworks, lead technical decisions in model-agnostic AI infrastructure, and grow as a technical leader by mentoring peers and shaping the evolution of the company’s AI platform for millions of users.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years building production APIs in Python; 2+ years with FastAPI or similar async stack
- • Deep knowledge of async I/O, Pydantic v2, dependency injection, and observability
- • Hands-on experience with Semantic Kernel or comparable agent frameworks
- • Practical RAG implementations using Azure AI Search, pgvector, or Chroma
- • Strong Postgres skills, including SQLModel/SQLAlchemy 2 and Alembic migrations
- • Proven integrations or side projects with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini) and structured-output design
- • Dependency management via Poetry and virtual-env isolation
- • End-to-end CI/CD ownership (build → scan → test → deploy)
- • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- • Remote work readiness with daily overlap of at least 09:00 – 13:00 EST
