📋 Description
- • Lead the design and launch of Coder’s Forward Deployed Engineering function within Customer Solutions, establishing the first wave of post-sales patterns including onboarding and customer "get well" engagements.
- • Work directly with customers to implement technical and organizational changes required to adopt agentic development workflows, ensuring seamless integration of AI coding agents into their existing development environments.
- • Partner with the Field CTO and Customer Solutions leadership to align strategy, incorporate customer feedback, and execute on initiatives that improve customer outcomes and product adoption.
- • Use customer signals, product telemetry, and operational data to enhance onboarding quality, measure health outcomes, and identify expansion readiness across customer segments.
- • Develop scalable, repeatable operational patterns that accommodate varying levels of customer complexity, from startups to large enterprises with regulated environments.
- • Define how AI-augmented workflows and human-in-the-loop systems will modernize Customer Solutions roles, including evolving the responsibilities of Customer Success Managers (CSMs) and Technical Account Managers (TAMs).
- • Contribute to hiring and team formation for the Forward Deployed Engineering function, with the expectation that the team will grow significantly by year-end.
- • Shape the long-term operating model for Forward Deployed Engineering at Coder, ensuring it remains lean, highly leveraged, and aligned with product and customer needs.
- • Translate technical depth in cloud-native platforms, developer workflows, and AI-enabled development practices into actionable customer guidance and solution design.
- • Act as a builder and leader simultaneously—engaging hands-on with customers while designing the systems, processes, and frameworks that enable scalable customer success.
- • Operate in ambiguity by defining a new category of work rather than inheriting a pre-established playbook, driving innovation in post-sales engineering support.
- • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to feed customer insights into product development, strengthening feedback loops between users and internal teams.
- • Ensure customer adoption of Coder’s self-hosted AI Development Environment by guiding teams through secure, policy-driven, and governed deployment practices.
- • Support platform and security teams in maintaining control, auditability, and compliance while enabling developers to work with their preferred tools at their own pace.
