- • Build workflow automation, orchestration services, and agentic capabilities to improve engineering productivity, quality, and delivery velocity across Homebase.
- • Create shared developer platforms and experiences that enable teams to effectively incorporate AI into their daily software development workflows.
- • Design evaluation, observability, and operational frameworks to improve the reliability, safety, and effectiveness of AI-enabled systems in production.
- • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Design, Data, Infrastructure, and Security teams to understand needs and deliver high-impact, practical solutions.
- • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and determine where they create meaningful value for engineers, customers, and the business.
- • Establish repeatable patterns, best practices, and guardrails that allow teams to safely adopt new AI capabilities at scale.
- • Contribute to technical direction, architecture decisions, engineering standards, and platform strategy for AI-powered engineering systems.
- • Build production-grade backend systems and services that serve as the foundation for AI-driven developer tooling.
- • Design and implement APIs, distributed systems, and platform components that support scalable, secure, and maintainable AI workflows.
- • Operate and support software in production environments with a focus on reliability, monitoring, and incident response.
- • Own end-to-end delivery of projects from concept through deployment, ensuring alignment with engineering goals and business outcomes.
- • Promote a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement in AI adoption across the engineering organization.
- • Advocate for responsible AI usage by integrating security, privacy, and quality controls into developer workflows.
- • Enable engineers to move faster without sacrificing reliability, quality, or security through thoughtful platform design.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align AI tooling with product roadmaps and customer needs.
- • Contribute to technical documentation, onboarding materials, and knowledge sharing to scale platform adoption.
- • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and engineering rituals to uphold high standards across the team.
- • Support the integration of AI capabilities into existing development pipelines, including testing, CI/CD, and code review processes.
- • Measure and communicate the impact of AI systems on engineering velocity, bug rates, and developer satisfaction.
- • Maintain a balance between innovation and stability, ensuring platform changes are sustainable and scalable.
- • Drive adoption of AI tooling by demonstrating value through real-world use cases and iterative feedback loops.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- • Experience building AI-powered developer platforms, workflow automation systems, or agentic workflows
- • Strong backend engineering experience building production systems
- • Experience designing APIs, services, distributed systems, and developer platforms
- • Strong system design and software architecture fundamentals
- • Experience operating and supporting software in production environments
