📋 Description

• Senior Software Engineer role focused on building and scaling Back Market’s platform for the Japanese and Australian markets, contributing to a mission-driven company that reduces environmental impact through refurbished tech.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include working in an agile 'build it and run it' environment to design, develop, launch, monitor, and support full-stack features; collaborating with cross-functional squad members; producing clean, well-organized code; and contributing to system design and architecture improvements.
• Join a multidisciplinary engineering team in Tokyo led by Engineering Manager Valérian, including mobile and backend engineers, a Product Manager, and supported by chapter and group rituals for technical alignment and knowledge sharing.
• Opportunity to grow as a senior engineer by leading technical discussions, influencing architecture decisions, exploring impactful technologies, optimizing delivery, and strengthening full-stack expertise across backend (Python, Go, FastAPI) and frontend (Vue.js, TypeScript, Nuxt) systems.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong system design skills with experience in microservices and distributed systems
• Proficiency in backend technologies including Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Celery, or Golang
• Solid experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, TypeScript, and Nuxt
• Ability to work effectively in an international, English-speaking team across global locations (US/FR/ES/JP)
