- • Senior Software Engineer - Backend role at Feedonomics (part of Commerce) to design, develop, and scale core infrastructure for a high-performance, data-intensive SaaS platform powering e-commerce growth.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating on architecture and design of scalable applications, solving complex infrastructure problems with code, enhancing DevOps practices through automation, conducting post-mortems, driving technology design discussions, evaluating tools and processes, and championing continuous improvement in systems and infrastructure.
- • Join a fully remote, highly collaborative, and cross-functional Backend Engineering team at Feedonomics, part of Commerce — the parent company of BigCommerce, Feedonomics, and Makeswift — focused on building an open, AI-driven commerce ecosystem that empowers businesses to innovate and thrive.
- • Opportunity to become a domain expert in distributed systems and backend technologies, apply industry best practices, influence architecture decisions, and grow technical leadership skills while contributing to the scalability and reliability of a mission-critical commerce platform.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of programming experience in backend languages
- • 2+ years experience with PHP (strongly preferred), Python, GoLang, Java or similar
- • 2+ years experience with MySQL or similar technology
- • Strong understanding of database schema design, caching, and scalability
- • Strong understanding of distributed systems and communication protocols (TCP, RPC, etc)
- • Experience with modern CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and Linux operating systems
- • BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
