- • Senior Software Engineer, Browser Automation role focused on building and hardening the browser automation and crawling engine that powers Horizon3.ai's NodeZero™ platform for autonomous penetration testing.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include advancing the browser-driven crawler using Playwright and Stagehand, tackling complexities of modern web applications (SPAs, authentication, anti-bot defenses), extending agentic login capabilities, improving crawl coverage and throughput, and collaborating with attack-team engineers to shape application maps.
- • Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company founded by former U.S. Special Operations cyber operators and startup engineers, dedicated to helping organizations proactively find and fix exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them.
- • In this role, you will learn to balance deterministic automation with LLM-driven navigation, gain deep expertise in production-safe browser automation at scale, and contribute to a system used by Global 100 enterprises, government agencies, and security professionals worldwide.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience building production software with deep, hands-on experience in browser automation (Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium) against real, non-trivial web applications
- • Strong TypeScript / Node.js skills and comfort living inside the headless-browser stack, including Chromium internals, the Chrome DevTools Protocol, network interception, the DOM, and JS execution contexts
- • A track record of taming flaky, stateful, JavaScript-heavy apps, including SPA timing, authentication, and anti-automation defenses
- • Solid instincts for distributed/concurrent systems: queues, backpressure, retries, idempotency, and running many browser sessions reliably at scale
- • Ownership mentality: comfortable taking a critical subsystem from 'works' to 'works unattended, at scale, against someone else's production environment'
