📋 Description

• Senior Back-End Software Engineer role focused on building and scaling the Chat product, the conversational layer of Relevance AI’s platform that enables real-time, agentic experiences for users interacting with AI agents and productivity tools.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, building, and operating scalable back-end systems; owning mission-critical services from ideation to production; mentoring engineers; influencing engineering standards; and collaborating with product, design, and leadership to align technical direction with business outcomes.
• Relevance AI is a fast-growing, well-funded startup headquartered in San Francisco and Sydney, building the home of the AI workforce with backing from Bessemer Venture Partners, Insight Partners, Peak XV, and King River Capital, and recognized as LinkedIn’s #1 Startup in Australia in 2025.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in fast-paced, high-growth tech environments
• Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining production back-end systems
• Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of projects, solve complex problems, and deliver high-quality, impactful results
• Deep interest in artificial intelligence and excitement to build innovative, category-defining products
• Regular use of AI tools and technologies in workflow to boost productivity and innovation
