📋 Description

• Senior Software Engineer at Cinapse, a Wrapbook company, plays a pivotal role in building the modern production scheduling platform used to schedule nearly $7B of film and TV, including major productions like The Boys, Euphoria, and Star Wars, directly impacting how Hollywood plans its productions.
• The role involves high-ownership, full-stack development with a strong frontend focus, working closely with the Founder and Lead Engineer to ship features used daily on major film and TV sets, ensuring reliability and performance in offline-first, production-critical environments.
• Cinapse is a small, fast-moving team within Wrapbook, operating at the intersection of entertainment and fintech, backed by significant investment from Andreessen Horowitz, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and CAA co-founder Michael Ovitz, with a mission to increase prosperity in the project economy.
• The engineer will contribute to flagship features such as stripboard management, multi-unit scheduling, real-time collaboration, reporting, and PDF import/export, while integrating with Wrapbook’s broader payroll and production finance ecosystem.
• This role offers deep technical growth in modern full-stack architectures, including offline-first PWAs, advanced TypeScript and React patterns, Zustand/Jotai state management, Next.js 15, Prisma, PostgreSQL, and AI-augmented engineering workflows using tools like Cursor and Claude.
• The engineer will gain domain expertise in complex production scheduling logic, internalizing real industry rules used by AD teams, and will have the opportunity to shape the future of an industry-standard tool replacing legacy systems like Movie Magic Scheduling.

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced TypeScript and React expertise, including custom hooks, generics, discriminated unions, and component composition
• Proven experience building offline-first or offline-capable PWAs as a core architectural requirement, not just a feature flag
• Proficiency with modern state management libraries such as Zustand, Jotai, or similar (beyond basic Redux usage)
• Hands-on experience with Next.js 15, Prisma, and PostgreSQL in a production SaaS environment
• Ability to design practical data structures for indexing, ordering, and merging complex domain entities in production scheduling
• Comfort integrating AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) into daily engineering workflows to enhance productivity
• Thrives in a fast-moving, small-team environment with high autonomy and direct collaboration with founders and lead engineers
