• • As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable, and high-quality applications. You will leverage your expertise in Python, Django, and modern frontend web technologies to build solutions that directly impact our users and the healthcare landscape. This position is ideal for an autonomous contributor who thrives on tackling complex technical challenges and collaborating effectively across multiple engineering teams. We are hiring across five distinct engineering teams, and we will work closely with you to identify the team that best aligns with your unique skills, interests, and career aspirations.
• • Your responsibilities will be wide-ranging, reflecting the dynamic nature of a startup environment. You will be expected to independently execute on non-routine technical problems, delivering consistent, high-quality work with minimal guidance. This includes taking ownership of features from conception through to deployment, ensuring they are well-architected, performant, and maintainable. You will be instrumental in shaping our technical direction and best practices.
• • Key responsibilities include:
• • Designing and building robust, scalable, and maintainable applications using Python, Django, and modern frontend web technologies. This involves architecting solutions that can handle significant growth and evolving user needs.
• • Working autonomously on complex assignments that require specialist contributions and proactive cross-team collaboration. You will be expected to lead technical initiatives and drive them to successful completion.
• • Executing and adapting established development processes to achieve technical objectives efficiently and with minimal supervision. This includes contributing to the refinement of our agile methodologies and development workflows.
• • Writing effective, scalable, and testable code across the full stack, encompassing Python (Django), PostgreSQL, and JavaScript (Vue). You will be responsible for the quality and reliability of the code you produce.
• • Facilitating technical conversations within your team and across other engineering groups, proactively communicating status, potential blockers, and the impact of your work to ensure smooth project progression.
• • Supporting and guiding your teammates by sharing your technical knowledge, explaining complex concepts, and helping them understand established processes and best practices. Mentorship is a key aspect of this role.
• • Iterating quickly on features and improvements with a keen eye towards delivering maximum value to our users and the business. This involves a balance of speed and quality.
• • Contributing to the architectural design and technical roadmap of our platform, ensuring that our systems are built for the future.
• • Participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and upholding high standards for code quality and technical excellence.
• • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, often under pressure, and implementing solutions that prevent recurrence.
