📋 Description

• Senior Software Engineer on the Core Experiences Team at Speechify, building foundational services and SDKs that power the product experience across platforms, directly enhancing how users listen to and interact with information.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product teams to scope and deliver cross-platform SDK solutions, optimizing system performance through efficient abstractions and improved algorithms, and shipping cloud functions and backend services using Kotlin.
• Speechify is a fast-growing startup revolutionizing audio information consumption, ranked #1 in its category with exponential growth, committed to making learning easier and more accessible for millions, including people with learning differences.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Kotlin Multiplatform and cloud-native systems, influence product infrastructure at scale, and gain experience balancing rapid delivery with long-term system reliability in a high-impact, entrepreneurial environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong systems thinking with end-to-end design orientation and a belief in simplicity
• Ability to work quickly, generate ideas, and make pragmatic shipping decisions
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but Kotlin preferred)
• Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with designers, marketers, and product managers
• Focus and adaptability in a high-growth, remote startup environment
