- • Senior Software Engineer role focused on building greenfield simulation and data analysis tools for intelligence training, leveraging generative AI to create high-fidelity, dynamic training scenarios for military, law enforcement, and emergency response organizations.
- • Lead end-to-end development of new products from prototype to production, including architectural design, full-stack implementation, API development, UX, automated testing, and deployment across on-premises and cloud environments.
- • Join a 100% remote engineering team based in Ottawa with flexible hours aligned to Eastern Time, contributing to a mission-driven startup that builds EASE (Exercise Architect Suite) used by defense and intelligence agencies worldwide.
- • Shape technical direction and influence architecture, frameworks, and tooling choices for new systems while mentoring junior developers, conducting code reviews, and fostering engineering excellence and security best practices.
- • Gain deep insight into how defense, intelligence, and emergency response teams train for real-world scenarios while learning to build and scale a product team in a fast-moving, innovative startup environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of experience building complex web applications and backend services as a full-stack engineer, with minimum 2 years at senior or staff level
- • Strong architecture and design skills with expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, and reactive UI frameworks (React, Vue)
- • Advanced database experience with SQL/NoSQL, particularly PostgreSQL, PostGIS, and geospatial data, plus REST API development and Linux/Docker proficiency
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience; eligibility for Canadian Secret security clearance required
