• As a Senior Software Engineer on our Data & AI Engineering team, you will be a key contributor to delivering our ambitious product roadmap. Your work will directly impact our customers' ability to succeed in the evolving AI landscape. This is a full-stack role within a dynamic, small organization, requiring a versatile engineer who can tackle challenges across the entire product lifecycle. While your primary focus will be on developing features related to our data pipelines, LLM integrations, and analytics APIs, you will also be expected to contribute wherever necessary to deliver maximum value to our customers.
• Your responsibilities will span the design, development, and maintenance of robust data infrastructure. This includes building and optimizing data pipelines for both batch and streaming processing, ensuring efficient data acquisition, transformation, and analysis. You will work with cutting-edge big data technologies and frameworks to handle large volumes of data, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• A significant part of your role will involve leveraging LLMs and traditional machine learning techniques. You will develop and implement models for tasks such as classification, data extraction, and summarization, directly enhancing the capabilities of our platform. Furthermore, you will be involved in building evaluation frameworks for LLM-based tools, meticulously assessing and improving the accuracy and effectiveness of AI-generated outputs.
• You will be responsible for developing and enhancing our analytics APIs, enabling customers to gain deep insights from their data. This includes ensuring these APIs are well-documented, performant, and secure, handling aspects like authentication, authorization, caching, and rate limiting. Experience building APIs for external consumption will be highly valued.
• The role also encompasses building and maintaining essential supporting features. This could involve light front-end development using React, creating notification systems, designing alert emails, generating scheduled reports, and developing connectors to integrate with various third-party systems. Your adaptability and willingness to contribute across different technical domains will be crucial for our team's success.
• You will collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to understand data requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure the quality and integrity of our data products. Proactive problem-solving and a keen eye for detail in validating source and output data quality will be essential.

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive experience in building and utilizing web APIs, including robust handling of authentication, authorization, caching, and rate limiting.
• Proven experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and familiarity with modern analytical data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery, DuckDB, Spark SQL).
• Demonstrated ability in writing batch and streaming data processing pipelines using big data tools (e.g., Flink, Beam, Spark) or job queue/task processing frameworks (e.g., Celery, Temporal).
• Experience using LLMs or traditional ML techniques for tasks like classification, data extraction, or summarization.
