📋 Description
- • Design, develop, test, and maintain software for edge devices, on-premise servers, and cloud-based infrastructure supporting Glacier’s AI-powered recycling platform.
- • Build and improve RESTful APIs that connect edge devices, server systems, and customer-facing web applications to ensure seamless data flow and system integration.
- • Design and enhance user interfaces within the web application used by customers to interact with recycling analytics and operational insights.
- • Implement, manage, and optimize data processing and machine learning inference pipelines running on server infrastructure to enable real-time image analysis of recyclable materials.
- • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full stack, including edge hardware, server-side logic, network communication, and frontend web components.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, field operations, and customer success to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver solutions that improve recycling efficiency and sustainability outcomes.
- • Contribute to the architecture and scalability of the data platform to support growing volumes of image data from recycling facilities across North America.
- • Ensure software reliability, performance, and security across distributed systems, from low-latency edge devices to high-availability cloud services.
- • Participate in code reviews, documentation updates, and sprint planning to maintain high engineering standards and team alignment.
- • Work closely with machine learning engineers to integrate trained models into production pipelines and monitor inference accuracy and system performance.
- • Maintain and extend monitoring and logging systems to detect anomalies, track system health, and enable rapid incident response.
- • Adapt software configurations to meet the varying hardware and network constraints of on-site recycling facility deployments.
- • Translate business needs from clients like Colgate, Amazon, and municipal recycling operators into technical specifications and functional software features.
- • Stay current with emerging technologies in AI inference, edge computing, and cloud-native development to continuously improve system capabilities.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of work experience with relevant programming languages (e.g., Python for backend/edge, JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend)
- • 3+ years developing or consuming APIs (e.g., RESTful APIs)
- • Solid experience with backend web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Flask)
- • Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities
- • English Proficiency (C1 or higher) as you will be working with a US-based team
