📋 Description
- • Senior Software Engineer role focused on building a scalable OLAP lakehouse platform for agentic analytics at Clera, a fast-moving NYC-based AI-native data infrastructure company.
- • Design and implement distributed data system components with emphasis on join optimization and query performance; collaborate across infrastructure, services, and frontend to deliver end-to-end data platform features.
- • Early-stage, high-ownership work at a well-funded Series A/B startup backed by strategic investors, offering the chance to shape core platform components from zero to one.
- • Opportunity to deepen expertise in distributed systems, query optimization, and data platform engineering while contributing to technology that powers enterprise-grade analytics for data-intensive organizations.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of experience as a data systems, backend, infrastructure, or platform engineer
- • Proficiency in Haskell and/or TypeScript (the core tech stack)
- • Experience with distributed systems and big data systems (Apache Spark, Hadoop)
- • Experience with databases (relational, columnar, or otherwise) and strong foundation in algorithms and data structures
- • Experience with OLAP lakehouse/data lakehouse architecture and query optimization
- • Experience building products from zero to one; prior startup experience (ideally VC-backed) strongly preferred
