- • As a Senior Software Engineer on the Financial Platform team at Perk.com Inc., you will help build systems that ensure financial data is accurate, traceable, and audit-ready, supporting complex financial flows and reliable reconciliation and reporting at scale.
- • You will design and implement durable solutions for financial infrastructure, translate complex business logic across ERP integrations, and ensure every transaction is correctly represented across systems to give Finance and the business confidence in the platform’s numbers.
- • You will join a cross-functional squad with real ownership of a piece of Perk’s domains, contributing to quarterly goals and long-term vision while operating with autonomy and pragmatism in a team that values impact over effort.
- • You will lead across boundaries by communicating complex ideas, driving alignment across teams, mentoring less experienced colleagues, and raising the technical bar through design reviews, feedback, and modeling great engineering practices.
- • Perk is a global company of over 1,800 people across 12 offices, trusted by more than 10,000 companies worldwide, with headquarters in London and Boston, and this role is based in Barcelona with an IRL-first approach requiring in-person work 3 days a week.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Software Engineer with strong ownership of the full feature lifecycle, from understanding customer pain points to deployment and impact measurement.
- • Expertise in system architecture, including designing scalable, evolvable systems and data models that account for performance, failure isolation, and long-term maintenance.
- • Proficiency in backend excellence, such as API versioning, caching strategies, and complex data migration plans, along with frontend strategy involving state management, performance budgets, and comprehensive testing (e.g., E2E/Cypress).
- • Experience in operational maturity, including leading observability and SRE practices, defining SLOs, managing incident responses, and conducting blameless post-mortems.
- • Demonstrated ability in mentorship and influence, including active mentorship, leading design reviews, and influencing the product roadmap with technical data.
