📋 Description
- • Senior Software Engineer in Redgate's Foundry innovation incubator, responsible for exploring new opportunities through rapid experimentation and prototyping.
- • Day-to-day work includes horizon-scanning, ideation, building technical prototypes, running customer interviews, validating ideas with lean startup principles, and contributing to parallel experiments across desktop, web, API, database, and ML development using C#, TypeScript, Python, and AI coding tools.
- • Part of a small cross-functional Foundry team (Tech Lead plus 4-6 Software and Machine Learning Engineers) operating with autonomy to explore uncharted problems at the intersection of software engineering, customer insight, and product thinking.
- • Opportunity to shape Redgate's adoption of agentic coding and AI development tools, grow technical and product skills, and work on high-impact innovation where destination is not fixed and no two days are the same.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience using AI coding tools extensively, understanding their limitations, and developing productive and safe workarounds
- • Strong software design and coding skills across modern languages, particularly C#, TypeScript, or Python, sufficient to guide and review AI-generated code
- • Hands-on experience building agentic systems using frameworks such as LangGraph, Microsoft Agentic Framework, or MCP with solid understanding of LLM capabilities and risks
- • Experience designing and running experiments to validate ideas quickly using technical prototypes, customer feedback, and lean startup principles
- • Comfortable engaging directly with customers and stakeholders through interviews, demos, and concierge-style validation, communicating findings to technical and non-technical audiences
- • Product mindset focused on user value, outcomes, and market fit rather than just features or technical delivery
