- • Lead engineering projects across Harvey’s product lines, collaborating closely with AI, Legal, and GTM teams to build secure, high-impact systems that deliver value to enterprise and government customers.
- • Scale document ingestion and processing systems experiencing 10x growth every six months, ensuring reliability and performance under rapidly increasing data volumes.
- • Design and implement massive data collection pipelines that span over 50 legal jurisdictions, ensuring compliance and accuracy across diverse regulatory environments.
- • Build government-level security protocols for systems used by top law firms and governmental entities, prioritizing data integrity, access control, and auditability.
- • Lead the development of AI-native features including agentic orchestration layers, tool call interfaces, and retrieval-augmented systems that power Harvey’s generative AI platform.
- • Ship full-stack features across web, desktop, mobile, Google Docs, MS Word, and API integrations, ensuring seamless user experiences across all platforms.
- • Develop frontend interfaces using React and TypeScript with TailwindCSS, while contributing to backend systems built with Python and PostgreSQL.
- • Own end-to-end delivery of features from concept to production, maintaining high standards for code quality, performance, and user experience.
- • Build scalable and extensible architecture that supports multiple product lines and evolving customer needs across consumer and enterprise markets.
- • Maintain a strong focus on simplicity and decisiveness, prioritizing clean, maintainable code and rapid iteration over perfectionism.
- • Work in an in-person model based in New York City, contributing to a fast-paced team that operates with intensity, customer closeness, and a commitment to excellence.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience (post-BS/MS) in a product-focused full-stack software engineering role
- • Experience with React, TypeScript, CSS (specifically TailwindCSS), Python, and PostgreSQL
- • Track record of building and shipping fast-growing SaaS products
- • Experience building highly intuitive, detail-oriented user interfaces and experiences
- • Proven ability to design scalable, extensible full-stack solutions supporting multiple product lines
- • Strong computer science fundamentals and programming skills
