• You will be an integral part of the Core Marketplace Automation Team, focusing on building sophisticated automation systems that empower our users with seamless self-service capabilities, ensuring they remain insured and experience the smoothest possible journey with their vehicles.

• Your primary responsibility will be to develop and enhance automation systems that manage complex insurance servicing tasks end-to-end. This includes, but is not limited to, policy endorsements, cancellations, document uploads, and reinstatements.
• You will also focus on initiatives aimed at reducing policy cancellations, improving renewal rates, and ensuring our users consistently benefit from the best possible coverage.
• The role involves composing robust backend business logic that underpins these automation workflows, meticulously respecting the complex rules and regulations set by various insurance carriers.
• You will design and implement advanced backend pipelines responsible for synchronizing critical customer policy data, delivering timely and relevant alerts to users, and powering intuitive, seamless re-shopping experiences for insurance policies.
• A key aspect of your work will involve optimizing and scaling our internal tools, akin to an in-house DocuSign for servicing, with the ultimate goal of reducing manual agent intervention to near zero.
• You will collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineering operations teams to proactively identify and mitigate customer churn, thereby enhancing overall customer retention.
• The role requires effective asynchronous collaboration across different time zones, minimizing synchronous meetings while fostering strong teamwork through platforms like Asana and Slack.
• You will be instrumental in the continuous improvement of our backend systems, APIs, and microservice architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• We operate on fast sprint cycles, enabling the rapid deployment of new automations, with an average shipping time of 1–2 weeks.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of full-stack engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on building production-grade software and large-scale distributed systems for consumer-facing applications.
