- • Build, extend, troubleshoot, and fix complex heterogeneous GoLang applications and small self-contained GoLang microservices for Workato’s Recipe runtime engine.
- • Improve the execution engine for custom third-party code with focus on isolation, performance, and new feature implementation.
- • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient GoLang code aligned with enterprise-grade standards for scalability and reliability.
- • Integrate and manage data storage solutions including Postgres, S3, DynamoDB, Kafka, and ClickHouse within the execution pipeline.
- • Contribute across all phases of the development lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and maintenance.
- • Perform code reviews for teammates to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to architectural best practices.
- • Evaluate and propose system improvements to enhance performance, durability, atomicity, concurrency guarantees, and data protection.
- • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs in high-throughput, distributed backend systems handling real-time orchestration at scale.
- • Maintain code quality, organization, and automation through rigorous testing, documentation, and CI/CD practices.
- • Work with a globally distributed team across multiple time zones to deliver mission-critical infrastructure powering AI-driven automation for Fortune 500 companies.
- • Operate within a cloud-native architecture that unifies data, applications, processes, and AI into a single governed platform.
- • Focus on core engine components including DSL processing, event pulling, webhook handling, and job execution with strict requirements for security and encryption.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend systems with product goals and enterprise customer needs.
- • Participate in architectural discussions to evolve the platform’s scalability and resilience under heavy enterprise workloads.
- • Ensure system durability and data integrity across distributed environments with high availability and fault tolerance requirements.
- • Apply deep knowledge of network protocols, application servers, load balancers, message brokers, and caching layers to optimize system performance.
- • Drive innovation in backend infrastructure that supports real-time orchestration for over 50% of the Fortune 500.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience building scalable distributed backend applications
- • Strong proficiency in GoLang for developing high-performance microservices and complex applications
- • Deep understanding of databases (Postgres, DynamoDB, etc.), message brokers (Kafka), and storage systems (S3)
- • Solid grasp of network protocols, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems architecture
- • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 7+ years of industry experience
- • Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong social and communication abilities
