Senior Software Engineer (GOlang)

📋 Description

• • Build, extend, troubleshoot, and fix complex heterogeneous GoLang applications and small self-contained GoLang microservices for Workato’s Recipe runtime engine.
• • Improve the execution engine for custom third-party code, focusing on isolation, performance, and new feature implementation.
• • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient GoLang code that meets enterprise-grade scalability and reliability standards.
• • Integrate and interact with diverse data storage solutions including Postgres, S3, DynamoDB, Kafka, and ClickHouse.
• • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• • Perform code reviews for teammates to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
• • Evaluate and propose architectural and operational improvements to existing systems to enhance performance, durability, and security.
• • Identify performance bottlenecks, concurrency issues, and bugs in distributed systems, and devise scalable solutions.
• • Maintain high standards of code organization, quality, and automation within the backend engineering team.
• • Ensure robust data protection, encryption, atomicity, and concurrency guarantees in the recipe execution engine.
• • Work closely with global, distributed teams across multiple time zones to deliver mission-critical backend infrastructure.
• • Support the operationalization of AI and automation workflows by enhancing the core runtime platform that powers enterprise integrations.
• • Collaborate on designing and implementing scalable, high-throughput systems that handle real-time orchestration for Fortune 500 clients.
• • Participate in system monitoring, observability, and incident response to ensure continuous availability and performance of the execution engine.
• • Apply deep knowledge of distributed systems, including load balancers, application servers, message brokers, and caching layers.
• • Translate complex business requirements into technical designs for backend services that process webhooks, pull events, and execute jobs at scale.
• • Uphold enterprise-grade security standards across all layers of the backend infrastructure.
• • Drive innovation in the core platform by researching and integrating new technologies that improve system efficiency and developer experience.
