- • Build and ship behavior-based user experiences that drive onboarding, activation, checkout flows, and retention across Docker’s product suite including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout.
- • Design and implement end-to-end growth experiments—from hypothesis formulation to implementation and post-launch analysis—to improve core funnel metrics like activation, retention, and expansion.
- • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and PLG teams to deliver high-velocity experiments that directly impact business outcomes.
- • Write production-grade code across Docker’s full-stack technology environment, including frontend (React/JavaScript/TypeScript) and backend services (Go/Python).
- • Leverage A/B testing frameworks and in-app engagement tools to optimize personalized user journeys and measure the impact of product changes.
- • Instrument key user signals and data points to enable data-driven decision-making and translate experiment results into actionable product improvements.
- • Share experiment outcomes, insights, and next-step recommendations with cross-functional stakeholders across product, engineering, and business functions.
- • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support outside standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- • Work with data warehouse tooling such as Snowflake or Redshift to query and analyze experiment results and user behavior patterns.
- • Contribute to the development and refinement of AI-driven workflows by building and optimizing sandboxed environments and verified image pipelines that support autonomous developer tools.
- • Ensure all shipped features are clean, well-instrumented, and aligned with scalability and reliability standards for millions of monthly users.
- • Maintain a strong focus on improving developer experience and product usability at scale through iterative, outcome-oriented engineering.
- • Operate with autonomy in ambiguous environments while maintaining precision in execution and attention to detail in code quality and measurement.
- • Build trust and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels, from individual contributors to leadership, to align on growth priorities and execution.
- • Contribute to the evolution of Docker’s growth engineering practices by introducing new experimentation methodologies and tooling.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of software engineering experience, including exposure to growth engineering, experimentation systems, and product-focused development
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React for building user-facing product experiences and Go/Python for backend services
- • Hands-on experience implementing A/B tests and feature flags in production environments
- • Familiarity with analytics and experimentation tools such as Adobe Target, Unleash, or Looker
- • Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or similar data warehouse tooling for querying experiment results
