📋 Description

• Senior Software Engineer on the Growth & Onboarding team at Pivotal Health, responsible for building backend systems that power provider onboarding, activation, and growth workflows—directly shaping customer experience and platform scalability.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and maintaining services and APIs for onboarding and customization, building customer-facing tools based on input from sales, marketing, and product, contributing to architectural decisions, and operating with autonomy to identify and solve problems end-to-end.
• Pivotal Health is a mission-driven technology platform that helps healthcare providers recover fair reimbursement through AI-powered tools that simplify complex insurance disputes and administrative workflows, reducing burden on stretched teams.
• In this role, you’ll deepen your expertise in backend system design, cross-functional collaboration, and product-oriented engineering while making tangible impact on how providers adopt and succeed with the platform.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend focus
• Solid understanding of backend fundamentals: system design, data modeling, API development, and service reliability
• Strong product orientation with good instincts around customer needs and usability
• Python experience preferred; candidates from other backend languages welcome if prepared to interview in Python and ramp quickly
• Comfortable working in product-driven environments with cross-functional stakeholders including sales and marketing
• Self-directed and proactive: identifies problems and drives them to resolution
